Kyra Devine

Head of our beginner program

Kyra began riding at the age of six, quickly developing a deep passion for horses and the sport. She went on to compete with Arabian horses in both Hunt Seat and Western disciplines, including Equitation and Pleasure classes. Showing on the Arabian “A” circuit throughout the East Coast, Kyra qualified for regional competitions and earned multiple Regional Championships in both Western and Hunt Seat divisions.

Her dedication to the sport led her to qualify for the Arabian Horse Youth Nationals, where she competed in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her horse, EAF Kidmann. There, Kyra achieved a National Top Ten finish, placing 7th overall in the country in Hunt Seat Equitation.

Kyra’s love of animals also inspired her academic path. After graduating from high school, she attended YTI Career Institute, where she became a Certified Veterinary Technician.

After taking several years away from riding, Kyra returned to the sport when her son began taking lessons at Serenity Farm at Linden Hall. It wasn’t long before she found herself back in the saddle as well. What began as weekly lessons soon developed into a passion for teaching, and Kyra now enjoys instructing riders of all ages and skill levels.

In 2023, Kyra purchased her Off-The-Track Thoroughbred (OTTB), Echo, and has enjoyed continuing his training and development. In 2025, she attended a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) clinic, where she earned her accreditation to teach riding lessons. Kyra continues to pursue ongoing education to expand her knowledge and refine her teaching methods.

Elizabeth Romoho

Instructor

I have over 20 years of experience working with horses, having started riding at just four years old. Horses have always been a central part of my life, and I enjoy sharing that passion through teaching. For the past three years, I’ve been instructing riders, primarily beginners, with a focus on building confidence, safety, and a strong foundation in riding skills. I strive to create a supportive, positive learning environment where riders can grow their skills, gain confidence, and truly enjoy their time with horses.

Additionally, I have owned my horse, Tutu, for over 10 years, which has given me extensive hands-on experience in horse care, training, and developing a strong rider-horse partnership. Together, we have attended and competed in multiple shows, adding to my practical experience both in and out of the ring. My riding background is mainly in the hunter/jumper discipline. In highschool I was a member of the local IEA team .In college, I rode on both the English and Western IHSA teams at Penn State, further strengthening my versatility as a rider.
